Easy, Breezy Homemade Pancakes

I love pancakes! Especially for dinner smothered in real maple syrup and topped with a sunny side up egg and I’m in heaven! Here is the easy recipe I use … they are just like Grandma use to make!

1 1/2 cups unbleached, all-purpose flour
3 1/2teaspoons aluminum-free  baking powder

1 tablespoon Sucanat
1 teaspoon of salt
1 pastured, farm fresh egg
3 tablespoons grass-fed butter, melted
1 1/4 cups of farm fresh whole milk

Heat a griddle or cast-iron pan.
Combine flour, baking powder, salt, and Sucanat. Sift together with a whisk.
Add melted butter, egg, and milk
Stir well until the mixture reaches a thick, soupy consistency.
Add butter to your griddle or cast-iron pan, using a ladle, ladle about 1/2 onto pan when batter starts to get bubbly turn and cook other side. Continue until all batter has been used.
Makes: 6 to 8 medium pancakes
